No. You got it ass backwards. Government IS the problem and THAT is how it IS the government's responsibility.
I think you missed it. There was a supersize helping of sarcasm in that post. I know that Deliberator is a free market proponent.
My point is: That's what he should have said, because that's how the current Administration is doing business. It would appeal to the free market component here, but would surely sink his reelection campagin if he were that honest.
Now, if that kind of honesty would get you the boot, does that mean most Americans are wrong?

It would appeal to the free market component here, but would surely sink his reelection campagin if he were that honest. Just being honest isn't good enough, you also have to be right...His (honest)want for the arificial injection of "guest workers" isn't exactly a "free market" idea that will get him re-elected either...and it isn't right for the government to interfere in/manipulate the American labor market.
He would be more honest and correct if he addressed (with sincerity) the fact that OUR government (not just wages) is the reason for the flight of jobs/industries...If he honestly doesn't believe know that, then he's not worthy of re-election as a Republican...in my opinion.

does that mean most Americans are wrong? The public is frequently wrong. Why would it be surprising that most people would be wrong about a subject as complex as economics when most people either never took it in college or just learned enough to pass a final?
Having the masses come out to vote on how to make our economy better is not entirely unlike voteing on how to cure cancer. Most opinion on this matter is utterly uninformed.
