Senator Heinz of Pennsylvania was killed in a plane crash in the early 1990's. He was a good man I met him on one occasion. Teresa Heinz seemed to have gone off the deep end after the death of her husband and all that wealth... I have not met him, but here in western PA most everyone knew of him and knew him to be a good and honest, and, if memory serves me, fairly conservative man who was being approached to run for some republican office before his untimely death (1991?). She really did take a plunge into the great liberal abyss.
