Yes, agreed. I went to the FEC website and re-read the actual regs (it's been a while since I had done that). A loan is considered the same as a contribution and the $2000 limit per person applies.

BTW, I'm not saying that they won't try to break the law. In fact, they probably already are--since there is no way in hell Kerry is paying back that $6 million load he took out on his Senate salary.

Hopefully it will all be investigated after he loses the election, and they will be heavily fined. But it probably won't be.
