"Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, said America's borders would not be secure "until we supply willing employers with willing workers,"

And can someone PLEASE explain to me what the hell this is supposed to mean and what on earth one has to do with the other?

The borders won't be secure until Congress and the Prez allow the Border Patrol to do its job and McCain is not in favor of that.

There are employers in the U.S. who haven't yet figured out how to hire illegal aliens and McCain is trying to help them out.

I'm afraid no one can explain other than the ruling elite of both parties want to satisfy the demand for low wage workers.

The Democrats see illegals as future dem voters, union paying members that they control through incremental increases in minimum wage, hence more dues and contributions to dem candidates.

Some Republicans see them as low wage workers that will help provide corporations with cheap labor needed to sustain a positive bottomline.

I have seen what the uncontrolled illegal immigration has done to the economy of California by way of education and healthcare. I have seen the politicians there trash the People's iniative 187.

In history, immigrants were admitted legally for the purpose of supplying labor to industry but it was always controlled, turned on and then off. In the past recent decades, this control has been abandoned because it serves a narrow but powerful elite political class and their backers.

"until we supply willing employers with willing workers"

This is the means whereby all the "safe" jobs in America that are impossible to outsource to India or move to Mexico will be taken over by Mexican immigrants who will do the work for a third of the labor cost, or even less, who knows?

Think you are safe journeyman electrician, plumber, construction worker?

Your counterparts in Mexico can't wait for Mr Bush's amnesty plan to go into effect!

NO JOB will be "safe" if this plan goes into effect. All a company would have to do is cut its wages in half and when most of its American workforce leaves out of economic necessity, run to President Bush and say we have "jobs no American wants" so could you ship us in a few hundred Mexican workers to take them?

The funny thing is that 99% of these Mexican workers would be natural born demoRat voters! I guess the President and his party are so blinded by greed, that in the end they really don't care who's running the show, the GOP and the Rats all agree on free trade, globalism, open borders and socialism anyway, and they will all be filthy stinkin rich on their mexican run plantations while the rest of us starve.

We are witnesses to America's decent into a third world hellhole.

IMHO...
