You are taking yourself way too seriously!
Politics is a art and has little to do with principles.
There is a a bit less than a three year window to affect policy and then there is a election. Any deviation from policy at that point is viewed as indecision and confusion.
Bush the elder found that out on his no new taxes pledge.
Buchannon got frustrated with it and broke from the repubs and then was soundly humiliated in the election.
Single issue voters do not get a hearing during the election cycle. Single issue voters cannot effect changes in policy during this period.
bush may throw some red meat in your direction this year, but he will not change policy statements during this period.
You are wasting your breath, your vote and your time.
What is even worse is that you think a protest vote means something to the political juggernaut called the party.
It does not and only serves as a good way to elect democrats. They really appreciate the principled voters and do everything they can to slit the party.
Election time is a time to come together and vote together. We do not have to agree on principle. We must agree that the republican party must retain power and that policy can be affected during the off season.
Failure to understand this only benefits the democrats. They are united to do only one thing and that is to defeat the conservatives and erase any sign that they were ever in the White House.
They really appreciate the fact that republicans are so easy to manipulate. It is their best and most effective political weapon.
