Well, my copy of the UCMJ doesn't specify the method. But yeah, it says the penalty is, "death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct." That's at 904. ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY

Whatever. This time next month the guy will be facing a dishonorable discharge and some token bitching. The Army can't bring itself to punish its affirmative action recruits that get caught spying.

Good Afternoon, just saw the thread...

Just what is the "official" method of execution for this? I do know that the penalty for desertion used to be "shooting by musketry", and the efficient military hangman took care of the rest.

However, in today's PC world, do we have years of appeals, and if denied, the guy gets the quiet needle? This is not even close to a punishment fit for Treason.

I prefer the suggestions previously posted of a HANO jump, the rope (lubricated with pure, unadulterated lard), or, since he loves Al Queda so much, let him be a suicide bomber on a live fire range somewhere....all that is needed is a suitable satchel charge, duct tape, and handcuffs.... he can run his final seconds out in any direction he so chooses. Or, what is listed in my tagline.
