On a serious note, IMHO, the "Forbidden Fruit", that is mentioned in Genesis, which caused Man's fall from God's grace, was actually the heroin poppy. I think the Hebrew scribes purposely mis-described the "poppy", to be a tree that bore fruit, rather than provide the true image of this troublesome plant. In short, I believe the "Serpent" of the Old Testament, was a drug pusher.

So the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil turns out to be the opium poppy. Interesting theory.
