Good post! Contrary to the popular belief, most spies and defectors became so because of deep convictions against Communism.

Hip, hip, hooray for the poles, who've help America big time from the start.

i.e., Polish soldier Thaddeus Kosciuszko, an 18th century military engineer who designed the 100-acre earthen Fort Billings in 1776 to protect the region from incoming enemy ships.

My little town of Paulsboro on the Delaware river across from philly is trying to recreat Fort Billings as the birthplace of Homeland Security.

Thank you for the ping and for the thread on Colonel Kuklinski. We were running a thread on an American Hero of Polish descent yesterday (Matt Urban) when we heard about Colonel Kuklinski. You may want to visit the thread and scroll around the posts. We are talking about a few different subjects but there may be some posts of interest to you there as we were also discussing Kuklinski.

btw- today's Foxhole thread is about the Poles at Monte Cassino.
