Since you're still around, will you answer my question about the military?

What do you want to know about the military?

Take your gratuitous icon and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Does distemper require a booster?

GWB is a compassionate conservative so stop your harsh voice about him not doing enough for the whining Pat Buckerhead of yours.. If you think that your principle is so good, bring on your man! BTW, we are Vietnamese Americans will make "Botox Kerry" pays for his anti-war (VN) and "Ha Noi Jane" relationship. 2 1/2 months of his service in VN did not make us safer; but 4 plus years of his anti-war movement caused millions of VNese deaths (after the war). PAY BACK TIME!

And NOW, they are so mad that Bush isn't conservative enough for them, that they are willing to let a guy who is LEFT of xlinton take the White House to teach Bush a lesson.

How is Bush taking the Whitehouse going to teach Bush a lesson?

Just a question........a serious one. Are you for or against supporting the military?

From a previous post to you, that you obviously didn't read.

Do you, or do you not support the U.S. military? Is it important to you that the military remain equipped and strong, or is it of little consequence in your view.

This is a serious question, because, as a member of a military family, I have a lot at stake, as does this entire country, if we throw the country back into the hands of a leftist who hates the military.

read it again.

It makes perfect sense (and is actually quite funny) if you recognize that Bush is left of Clinton.

*What amazes me most about these purists, is that, if they were on this forum back in 97 or 98, they HAD to be oppose

*They have short attention spans I guess

You still don't get it, Mo.

Why is it so hard to understand that without the votes of people who don't see things as you do, Bush will lose?

Most voters don't see things as you do, and they will make their decisions in November on different criteria than you.

Now, Bush might get enough votes to win, but not because everyone came the same conlusions in casting their votes that you did.

However, to the extent that there's a risk to the President's reelection, it's because there's a risk that he may lose votes that were his to lose, and if that happens, they would be predictable and preventable losses.

Now, what's easier: to persuade millions of people you don't know to see the world as you do, or to persuade a politician not to take those votes for granted?

Why are you evading my question about the support of the military, OWK?

Are you for or against it? And how does your candidate stand on it.......specifics about what he will do??

A bit naive as questions go.

Sure.. I support a strong defense for our nation.

I support those who serve. (I was one of them myself)

Does this mean I unconditionally support every action the president of the United States chooses to involve out military in?

No, it does not.

I think we had every reason to be in Afghanistan.

It was a nation which knowingly harbored those who attacked citizens of the United States, and planned further attacks. In fact, I believe our presence in Afghanistan should have been larger.

As for Iraq, I believe we had no business there. (and that we will ultimately pay a heavy toll for our involvement.) Likewise I believe we had no business in the Balkans.
