"Do not confuse that with saying President Bush should not be asked about his service. The point is he's been asked....and asked....and asked...and asked. Also has provided documents. They are seeking to trump something up against him, plain and simple."
This is sounding like conspiratorial paranoia. A free press is obligated to dig and probe for the truth. Otherwise we should just nationalize the press and make it a mouthpiece of the government. Surely you don't want that do you?

This is sounding like conspiratorial paranoia.Whatever you say, Richard.

we should just nationalize the press and make it a mouthpiece of the government. Too late. Clinton did that in 1993.

"the press are supposed to dig and probe for the truth", those islamofascist apologists don't care about the truth. You're either naive or a DU troll, please wake up because they dig up dirt on our side and conceal dirt for their side and yes they chose sides in 1952.

A free press is obligated to dig and probe for the truth. Sure. And the evidence is that they've been more involved in fabricating a story than looking for evidence. Most of what they have said has been grossly twisted.

A free press is obligated to dig and probe for the truth.Just curious...did they do that with this level of zeal with Bill Clinton in 1992? Or 1996? Not just military-related stuff, but medical records, etc.
Or, do you think they will exhibit this level of "professionalism" when it comes time for Lt. Kerry to release his war-time medical records?
Somehow, I don't think the answer to either one will be a resounding "yes!".
Just my take...

A free press is obligated to dig and probe for the truth. You've contradicted yourself. It's not truth that the media is after. They've been given that and rejected it.
