Biblical prophets also foresaw destructive earthquakes, which they believed would herald a return of the Messiah. The Hebrew prophet Zecharia predicted that Jerusalem's Mount of Olives would be cleft in two by a quake. The New Testament Book of Revelation predicts "a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth."

This aint the one. I wonder what magnitude would fulfill that prophecy. The largest earthquake of all time? Are we talking about a 10+?

For the record, I dont look forward to the devastation this is going to cause.

"Biblical prophets also foresaw destructive earthquakes, which they believed would herald a return of the Messiah. "

Well, since there are destructive earthquakes occurring every year around the world, this is yet another shibboleth. All you have to do is go to the USGS site and look at the historical earthquake records to understand that this is nothing new and has been going on always.

This little 5.2 quake in the Dead Sea is not even worth noticing.
