Yea .. it's my right against self incrimination (where have I heard about that before??)..... no one should ever speak to the Feds if they can hold you to such a silly standard which is then applied capriciously and arbitrally

There is a huge difference between exercising your Fifth Amendment rights against self incrimination and lying to a law enforcement officer to try to throw them off the trail.

One is smart, the other is a crime.

In addition, a jury may well take the attempted cover up as evidence of guilt. (As always, the law may vary by jurisdiction. Always consult a competent lawyer licensed in the appropriate jurisdiction.)

Excellent advice. It applies even moreso to local cops, who couldn't make half of their cases without a statement from the defendant.

More advice: once the prosecutor has offered you a deal, don't EVER call a friend of yours at the DOJ and whine about the NY attorney and asked for a better deal.

So far this trial has been a disaster for Martha. She has been exposed for the egomaniac that she is and it will be hard for her to overcome "the law is for the little people" picture that the prosecution is painting. Granted, we are in the middle of the prosecution's case but this is getting uglier that I thought it would.

According to people who work (have worked) for her, the woman is a bitch on skates, and a tyrant. E.G., you cannot walk behind her and talk. She actually thinks you're talking about the size of her posterior, which to tell the truth is right up there with Hillary's, which is to say it blots out the sun to all who live in its shadow.

However, there is no law against bitchery. The government is conducting some sort of nutty crusade here. There must be some deal we don't know about. If there are any normal taxpayers on the jury, as opposed to the usual collection of illiterate welfare mothers, GS 3s, and other mouth breathers, the witch walks, to tyrannize once more.

I dislike Martha, but how many of us would not sell if they recieved a call to dump the stock?? Much bigger crooks are left untouched, because they are not a household name like Martha.
