Pegita; All
"Father, cause Your people to stand firm ... increase their numbers where they cannot even be counted ... take these blinders from our eyes, lest we go sightless into our own doom. The enemy is relentless and beguiling and so attractive, but deadly behind a friendly demeanor. Expose them, Lord, for the evil they are, yet save them, Lord, before it is too late. Thank You that You are not willing that any should perish ... may they come under the cleansing blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. And spare Michael's children, I pray ... change his heart, lest his children be raised in the knowledge that their father sought to murder his wife."
Pegita, you and the people here with you are the essence of what it is to be a Christian. The body of Christ. I hope the world is watching. I have been reading and taking the time to reflect lately. There are too many signs happening right now. I feel as if God is doing mighty things right now to bring the world into conformance with Himself. I hope to respond to some of the other comments on this thread, but for now I just want to offer some encouragement in the battle you all are waging for 'the least of these'. We are to overcome by our faith, by prayer! and by the Word of God. I believe God is testing us, to see if we are ready to be a priesthood to Him. The more I read, the more I believe that. I am also beginning to believe that at some point in time, hopefully soon, He Himself may even step in and vanquish His last remaining foes. Until such a time, keep up the good work, good and faithful servants.

1Cr 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Cr 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many....
*** 1Cr 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1Cr 12:29 [Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all workers of miracles?
1Cr 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1Cr 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/1Cr/1Cr012.html#12 This nation was founded in the name of Jesus Christ, and it has most of the time fulfilled the Royal Law, and loved our neighbours as ourselves. We have often been the champion of the weak and downtrodden; we have opened our doors to the whole world [to our detriment a lot of us would say, but who can say if this is not all part of God's plan? The more I read, the more I think it may be. The Bible says strangers will be joined with God's Holy Zion. More on that later.] The point is, we have, for the most part, loved others. Pegita, your love and mercy for our enemies puts me to great shame, but I hold you up as an example to the world of how God wants His people to be.
Jam 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Jam/2/8.html Because we have opened our doors wide, we find ourselves in the following situation, but because we got that way by being faithful, I believe God is with us:
[Esample 1:
2Ch 14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, [it is] nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou [art] our God; let not man prevail against thee.

Example 2.
2Ch 20:10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
2Ch 20:11 Behold, [I say, how] they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.
2Ch 20:12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes [are] upon thee.
2Ch 20:13 And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children....
2Ch 20:15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle [is] not yours, but God's....
2Ch 20:17 Ye shall not [need] to fight in this [battle]: set yourselves, stand ye [still], and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD [will be] with you....
2Ch 20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
2Ch 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
2Ch 20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
2Ch 20:23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy [them]: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
2Ch 20:24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they [were] dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
2Ch 20:25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.
2Ch 20:26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.
2Ch 20:27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
2Ch 20:28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.
2Ch 20:29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of [those] countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.
2Ch 20:30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/2Ch/2Ch020.html#11 Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Rom/Rom008.html#31 [Note to self. Interesting passage here. Important for what will become apparent at a later time: Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ].
Keep the faith, little Hobbits [I hope I don't offend anyone with that analogy, but remember God takes the weak things of this world to confound the mighty]. You are a sight to behold.
+ To God be the Glory ... great things He has done, and will do ... thank You, Ethan, for the Scriptures ... food for our souls and a lamp unto our feet ...
