God, these people are stupid; even when the facts show he did serve, they still do not beleive Bush served. Are the American People really this DUMB. Are people that stupid, they can't even beleive facts on paper when presented to them?

I wish the WH would have had someone with military expertise at the briefing. The media's ignorance of all things military and their obvious shilling for Kerry, was beyond description. This was the absolute worst press briefing I have ever seen-bar none.It is a common practice in the Guard to allow soldiers to do what is called a "split drill" or "split assembly" due to a conflict. That means that you can make up the drill at another time with your regular unit (e.g. come in for two days during the week and work w/ the full timers) or drill w/ another unit.So it would be very understandable that a CO or fellow soldiers, would not have memory of the temporary guy,31 years later. Soldiers have been given leaves of absence for several months for work or school conflicts. They can either make up the time or not, depending on the circumstances. Those graduating from West Point in 1972,were told that they couldn't volunteer for Vietnam b/c no combat troops were being sent over. So,I guess that Kerry and MacAuliffe consider them to be deserters ,since they also didn't go to Vietnam.
