According to the WSJ, Bush made his service files available during the 2000 election. The Democrats are counting on the public not waiting for a response and only hearing the accusations.

I'm ecstatic this nonstory is getting play now. The Kerryrats might have been able to skim a few points off of Bush if they'd tried this BS as a November Surprise, like Gore did with Bush's DUI story in 2000, but by bringing this up in February, it insures the issue will be long-forgotten by Election Day.

And at the same time, it makes all of Kerry's Vietnam shenanigans fair game.
