>>I believe that Khan represented a rogue element in Pakistan
We'll have to disagree. Just like the rogue elements supporting jihadis. Jihadism is pervasive all through Pakistan.
I know I can't convince you of the level of hate towards America felt by Pakistan's elites, even the nominally secularist ones.
Money was a nice byproduct, but I believe the prime motivator was hate for the US and PanIslami(wahhab) ideology.
But, hey, cheers. No hiding behind the rogue element excuse for Pakistan.
Let's hope nothing happens to the Mushmeister.

I'm not sure that I'd argue that Khan's motivation was primarily ideological. I rather suspect it was. But you've never really tried to convince me that the Pakistani elites have a hatred toward America so I don't know whether I could be convinced or not.
I do know that I'd rather jump naked into a swimming pool filled with razor blades than to ever move there.
