Remember those two unmarked ships sailing around the world right up to the run-up of the war?
No markings, no plans, no business being out there.
I've always wondered what happened to that.
Could be they all arrived in Cuba or were intercepted prior to landing and we've been taking inventory.

Gen Valerly(sp)....they showed him a clip from MTP of Bush defending the WMD issue with Russert...that's when the General made the 60 to 90 day statement...like I said, he was gleaming...this whole interview lasted less than 5 min..the quizzed him to tell what he knows and he said *you'll find out in 60 to 90 days*.....they went to a commercial and when they returned he was gone....I left the house at 6:30 and hurried home by 10 thinking there would be a thread going on this...

Let me clarify.
Osama is the houseguest of a major military mullah personality. ( All significant AQ types were caught in the cities, KSM in an affluent section populated by retired and serving senior officers.
2. Osama's hideaway has been id'ed and quarantined ( in the mountains.
3. He's a guest of a warlord who we've turned.

Cuba could be one of the countries Monsoor could not reveal.

Now I'm thinking about that hijacked aircraft that had no markings. But you say it was a Paki aircraft.
When Paki Prez split himself off as head of the Military last week, then the Scientist starts talking, made me wonder about that, as well. Paki Military filled with Al Queda.

"I hadn't really thought too much about it before this Cuba meeting was cancelled, but this definitely turned on the radar for me. My entire extended family lives in and around Mobile, so this concerns me some. " I hadn't even thought about the Mobile/Cuba angle until someone mentioned Cuba on this thread. I'm gonna go see if I can find that cancelled trade meeting article.

Wow. If he's who I think he is, he's always seemed like a legit sort of guy.
Wish I'd seen it.
Thanks for the update; curiousity got the cat (and me)!

The notion of one "Islamic Nation" is a myth if you look at the history of the region. They've been fighting more amongst themselves, with real bullets, than anyone else during the past 50 years.
I do agree with you that we've squeezed the Paks into exactly the position we want. We can't really tout that without causing more problems, but it's true.
I believe that Khan represented a rogue element in Pakistan. You do not strengthen your country by sharing nuclear secrets with others. I'd say that he was motivated by pan-islamic fervor, but North Korea is not a fertile ground for muslims. Money had a lot to do with it.

Checkmate! Clintons policy of "EQUALIZE ALL NATIONS".
To: Dog Gone
We don't have him - Pakistan has him.
They don't want an overthrow of the government, so they have to handle this tactfully - make it look like the U.S. has reason to invade over the deeds of their Scientist other crimes and to prevent us from doing so, they hand him over.
My uneducated guess.
To: swarthyguy
I'll buy that. I don't think Osama is in Karachi or any other major city. He just can't hide how tall he is, and how that stands out to foreign intelligence agents.
To: Dog Gone
>>I believe that Khan represented a rogue element in Pakistan
We'll have to disagree. Just like the rogue elements supporting jihadis. Jihadism is pervasive all through Pakistan.
I know I can't convince you of the level of hate towards America felt by Pakistan's elites, even the nominally secularist ones.
Money was a nice byproduct, but I believe the prime motivator was hate for the US and PanIslami(wahhab) ideology.
But, hey, cheers. No hiding behind the rogue element excuse for Pakistan.
Let's hope nothing happens to the Mushmeister.

At this point, almost anything is possible.I still love it when Castro keeps screeching about fighting us to the death...bet he falls into a panic just like Saddam.

"He seemed to confirm that the terrorist have 'dirty bombs' and are anxious to use them......."
Do most people really know what a "dirty bomb" is? Basically, a dirty bomb is a conventional bomb that spreads radioactive contamination (RC) --- basically it creates a mess. Does the RC kill you? Not really, unless you get a real face full, or if you absorb stuff like radioactive iodine, cesium, etc.
Basically, a "dirty bomb" just messes you over and scares people. I am more afraid of nerve gas and other chemical and biological nasties!

Hmmm. There was that letter AQ sent to Castro. And all the comments about an attack being "completely unexpected and unpredictable". There have been reports of bioweapons in Cuba...just thinking.

Can't find anything about the Cuba trade meeting cancellation...I did find this about a Cuban Minister denied entry.
Cuban Minister Denied Visa, Cancels Visit
"Society Mobile members said they received a telephone call from a State Department official Friday informing them that Suarez's visa application, submitted on Nov. 10, had been denied. "
"State Department officials on Friday declined to comment on Suarez's application, citing confidentiality rules. Officials at the U.S. Interests Section, the American mission in Havana, also declined to comment."
