Washington -- Gun control hasn't emerged as a leading issue in the 2004 presidential race, but that is likely to change as Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein intensifies her effort to win renewal of the decade-old assault weapons ban, which expires in September.

You are correct. We know the "assault" weapons catagory is fraudulent.

>>Plus it should be obvious to all that the spate of gun control laws stopped when the GOP achieved more control of the Congress and the Presidency. I see no reason to believe it will be resumed UNLESS knuckleheads join forces with the RATS to defeat Bush.

oh?

note: the reptiles in the house passed on voice vote, after SUSPENDING the house rules to ship the reauthorization of the 'plastic gun ban' off to the senate where the reptiles passed it as a 'CONSENT' item and George the Duce signed it.
since plastic guns don't per se exist they might as well have banned klingon disruptor while they were at it...

is that is upholding our Second ammendment? *NOT*

I'm willing to be the reptiles do the same thing with the AWB and make it DiFi friendly as well (permanent)

r who doesn't know what happened to his republican party at all.

Bush not signing this bill will not mollify most of these critics. They are perpetually screeching about one of his policies or the other being the "straw that broke the camel's back." So far those straws make up a nice bale.

Those who are oblivious to the clear fact that their allies are the worst enemies America has are not interesting in fact, or logic.

The members of the militia which was stated as a justification for the 2d. Is the "people" the same as "an individual person?" Wonder why the amendment was not written to say "...the right of citizens or inhabitants?" This isn't a trick question. Do you have any idea why that particular wording was selected "

So I pointed out to you that "the people is used in several places in the Constitution and asked you about it.

You keep avoiding it.

Bush still has the support of the vast majority of conservatives. Those predisposed against him are not my concern and mollifying them is essentially impossible.

Most real conservatives realize that Bush is crucial to strengthening our national security and those issues in which they disagree with him pale in comparision to that one.

Those opposed who claim to be conservatives propose an illogical and self-defeating course of action.

Nope claimed nothing of the sort rather stated that the militia was considered to be every able-bodied man but I will modify that to say in 1787 it was every able-bodied FREE man.

In a constitutional republic the executive is in control of the Senate? You don't mean that.

"Past military service does not keep one current. Just look at the vast array of new weapons our boys in Iraq are employing."

Implies you do not have or shoot a rifle. (You also have no military service, according to you home page).

So you should be advocating punishing the party of gun control not the Republicans who are far less the pogc.
Punishing the nation by turning on Bush is a guarantee of getting more of what you claim not to want. This is not intelligent behavior.

eskimo: I dress mine in fancy leather and we stay at home a lot.

I like mine hot and naked and I like to keep one in my pants.

Ignoring them has destroyed the republic, made the US exactly what the founders were trying to avoid, and made a mockery of the War for Independece. Regardless, even if a strict interpretation of the Constitution favors my argument, I concede your side has won where it really matters. But the socialistic, imperialistic bloated nanny state that resulted isn't anything to be proud about. That is the inescapable legacy your side has reaped. It's shameful.

That little clause is certainly there. It is also true that the first gun control laws in Illinois were passed by conservative legislatures concerned about the socialist militias which were armed in the late 1800s.

I meant to say "an even more explicit definition of what the militia is" one that destroys the gungrabbers' argument that only militia members' RtKaBA is protected.

"This is not intelligent behavior."

So, by analogy, are you saying it is intelligent behavior to subvert the Constitution ?

So you are really the Blood of Tyrants?

My name is meant to do just the opposite by provoking those who disagree to do just that. Works wonderfully.

You think if I changed it to "MrWarmandFuzzy" it would be better?
