I'd like to know if anybody can tell me what happened to my home page designation window in Internet Tools, General; about 2 weeks ago, I logged on to MSN and when I clicked on IE on the desktop a message jumped that said: can't find \\C:\WINDOWS\secure.html, so I went to tools and the General window appeared and it had highlighted C:\WINDOWS\secure.html.

I backspaced it out and typed in Drudge report and closed the window and then reopened it and the C\WINDOWS\secure was back.

Even stranger is if I delete the active window and then type a letter the screen just below the bar opens and lists all the files that begin or contain that letter just as though the C:\dir command had been typed in.

I'm pulling my hair out over this and if that isn't bad enough Drudge and Google seem to be crosslinked; if I have one and call the other, I get a blank window.

I'm running W95 and IE5.5 and I've learned to put up with this slow 120MHZ POS, but this may be the last straw.

Can anybody throw a hint my way??

There are several worms and viri that "hijack" homepages and web browsers in general. If you do a Google on hijacked homepage, you will get some advice.
