Hey, that looks good! Was it ever made into a movie?

Oh, there's Blackie! He was buying every round last night! (Thanks for the pitcher, Blackie!)
To: Devil_Anse
I really have no idea.
Here is the link I found it at, though. Weird, wild stuff!

That is very weird, RB! We need to ask around on FR, to see if any of those who know a lot about electronics and/or computers can explain that! Till then, I'm double-checking every night to make sure the speakers on this thing are turned OFF!!
To: Devil_Anse
Is there a verdict in that Schuss case? No it was a mistrial. It appeared to me to be an obvious case of involuntary manslaughter but the jury couldn't agree.
To: runningbear
Thanks for the ping, rb! We'll all be waiting with bated breath to see if anything happens today.

LOL, Jack! I love that baby!

"Wierd thing happened this morning. While on my pc, have wireless Linksys B router, all of a sudden someone's voice came out from the speakers of the pc,...." runningbear, several years ago I had an old black and white TV and had it connected to one of those Clappers so I could clap it on or off. No remote for that TV. Anyway one night I was awakened to a bright light and talking. I discovered that the TV was on and voices were coming through it. The voices seemed familiar. Some days later I had my tape recorder plugged into a wall outlet transcribing off of a tape. Pretty soon I started hearing those voices that sounded familiar again. They were talking vulgar to truck drivers.
To try and make a long story short, we were managing my fathers Mobile Home Park and a young couple had moved in and put up a great big antenna. We discovered they had Ham Radio equipment and were cutting into truck drivers CB's and my TV and portable tape recorder also picked it up. I was able to record them as they came through the tape recorder and when they denied what they were doing I had proof. We finally got them evicted.
Maybe something like that happened through your PC. Drive around and see if there are any big antennas around.

This guy (glad they caught him) must be a pretty experienced Charmin crafter! Does the gun shoot little balls of tissue?

See my posting at #29. When this first happened to me in the middle of the night, I really was spooked.

Many years ago we used to be able to hear our neighbor talking on her cordless phone through our computer speakers. We told her about it and she purchased a better phone with more channels and that solved the problem. Maybe you're having a similar problem?

ROFL...that is a good Monday story... That is a thought. Only thing I can tell is that many have those dish networks, and one neighbor had replaced their antenna some time ago. I'll mention it to hubby... ;o) Meantime, owe a call to SBC, ie Pacific Bell ..Early this morning too, AMR (ambulance, and about 4 Modesto PD units were down the street at some house, about a 1/2 mile west of me. Looked like a distrubance call! Not sure if that could of been the problem...lol.)

Maybe... That happens to a Uniden scanner I sometimes use at work. Picks up cordless phones, and I get to listen to them talk or transmitting. Not my problem, can't figure out where the call comes from, just interfers with my other frequencies I listen to. heehee...
I'll be checking....

Cue the Twilight Zone music!
I've been a bit skittish myself these days. This morning at about 12:30AM I woke to the sound of rustling outside my bedroom door. At first when I woke out of a sound sleep, I was frightened, heart pounding. I summoned up my courage, and threw the door opened to find my puppy-child tearing up a bag of papers I had emptied from next to my desk from the night before! My Little-man had fallen asleep downstairs with Gina and did not put her in her kennel for the night! She decided to see what she could get into....boy did she get a spank!

LOL.... I just contacted Earthlink...>Dang, try to explain this to a poor english speaking tech! Frustrated!!!
I came to the conclusion that my modem, dsl router, wireless router et el are too closely placed near the pc, causing some electronic interferences. Expecially when I have my cell phone near the pc, and a hummmming noise comes thru. Move the cell phone away, and the pc quits making the noise. LOL... Yep, I am a freak on a Monday!!!! (just kidding...lol..)

Peterson Trial Focuses On Jury Issues
Peterson Trial Focuses On Jury Issues
POSTED: 8:14 AM PST February 9, 2004
UPDATED: 9:29 AM PST February 9, 2004
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- With a made-for-TV movie ready to air this week, jury issues were at the forefront of the Scott Peterson double murder trial Monday as the judge and attorneys were expected to tackle several key requests including sequestering the panel during deliberations and whether or not the jury pool in San Mateo is too tainted for a fair trial.

Los Angeles-based defense attorney Mark Geragos has fought to have the trial moved to Southern California ever since the issue of a venue change came up in Modesto. He lost that battle when the trial was moved from Stanislaus County to Redwood City.
But prosecutor James Brazelton said he would not be in favor of moving the trial again.
"We don't want to go all over the county...courtroom hopping, judge shopping or whatever," Brazelton said as he entered the courthouse Monday. "I think everywhere in California someone has heard about the case. We'd just as soon it be here as anywhere else."
When asked if he was ready to go forward, Brazelton quickly answered: "Absolutely."
To bolster his case for a move, Geragos' staff has been conducting telephone interviews of potential jurors in San Mateo County. One of those called was San Carlos resident Mary Hanna.
"They asked me what kinds of things would influence me, like his demeanor; and my opinions about other things like the death penalty and extra-marital affairs," Hanna told the San Mateo Times. "But I was called for jury duty less than a year ago so I'm off the hook."
Among the questions Geragos' team was asking potential jurors were:
Is DNA evidence credible?
If DNA evidence is the only evidence available, would you convict Scott Peterson?
Would you believe police if they testified?
Opinion of the death penalty
Opinion of extra-marital affairs
What's your knowledge of boating?
Age, income, religion, political affiliation.
Most legal experts say Geragos faces an uphill battle when it comes to getting a trial moved a second time......
