I haven't watched 'em for years. Though sometimes I'll look in the paper the next day to see who won best contemporary (or best traditional) blues, country, folk, etc.

Difference between country and folk:

folk artist wears Birkenstocks and a peace-sign T-shirt and sings, "If it were up to me/ I'd take away the guns"

country artist wears jeans, boots, and cowboy hat and sings,
"The Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist...
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way..." (etc.)! :)
