According to Brig. Gen. William R. Turnipseed, who was in command of the Alabama National Gaurd at the time Bush was in the Texas National Gaurd, the term AWOL is not used by the National Gaurd. I'm not slitting hairs here. I am simply repeated what the Gen. said.
