The President is living in the past. he won't let go of 9/11, 2001 and the immediate leadership it demanded. If he refuses to listen to the American people from coast to coast calling to stop the flow of illegals and the hemorrhaging of jobs overseas and the wild spending spree, he will be given the privilege to "lead the parade" back to Texas after his first and only term. Your arguments are the same once used by William Jennings Bryan who got the democratic nomination for president three times based on the argument that our nation was being flooded with (Pick a derogatory names for Italians, Polish, Checks,Eastern Europeans and Chinese) that were taking good jobs from REAL Americans.
Right now Bush has greater support of the Republican base than he did in 2000.
You can't even read the election returns in California. Schwarzenegger can. He went to DC and begged for money.. He did not beg Bush to keep the Mexicans out.
You are clueless and on the losing side of an argument that does not have public support.
Both Democrats and Republicans have tried to keep the unwashed foreigners out... It has never worked for either party. That is why neither Bush nor Kerry are on your side of the argument.
This is a nation of public sevants. Policitians all work for a majority of votes. There are two majorities. One from theleft to just right of center, and one from the right to just left of center.
If neither of those majorities support your position you are SOL.. And YOU are SOL.

You neither understand my argument nor the mood of the people. In the case of my being SOL, I'm not concerned because that opinion is offered by someone who is OOCS (out of common sense).

You neither understand my argument nor the mood of the people. For nearly 200 years emigration has become an issue every time the economy falls into recession or depression, and goes away once the economy recovers.
In down turns emigration has been limited on several occasions... then when the economy recovers the flood gates are opened up again.
With the economy in full rebound and jobs comming back, emigration will cease to be an issue as it has over 15 times before in the history of the USA.
The only thing new under the political sun is the history you don't know!

For nearly 200 years emigration has become an issue every time the economy falls into recession or depression, and goes away once the economy recovers. As I said before, you don't seem to grasp my point which addresses illegal immigration and my 'job loss' commentary is directed to business shift to other countries and was not referenced to immigrants.
The only thing new under the political sun is the history you don't know!
Not only do I know history but also understand it which is more than I can say for you. Case closed!

I agree.
It suffers from the problem of being factual. The Dems are the masters at this game - take the emotion-based cheap shot, and roll their eyes at the response. Looks like it's not going to change, if this accusation against the President is any indication.
