......I turned off my modem for the interview and walked away from the computer so I good give the President my undivided attention.........
That said..................I felt he did an incredible job on discussing the 'Hows and Whys' of his decisions over the last 3 years. Tim is a tough, professional guy and did his job well by asking very direct questions and probing afterwards. Three major areas seemed to be covered: 1) The War, 2) The Economy, and briefly 3) the coming Election. Bush was unflappable and either backed up all his statements or presented cogent counterarguements. The interview showed me that the man is FOCUSED, in the truest sense of the word, on his job and the current problems we are faced with. Personally, I am still apprehensive about the pork-spending and the absence of the use of a veto-pen in this regard. However, kudos to Mr. Bush on a sterling performance! What took you so long?
The worst I can say is what was NOT discussed: Immigration.
Although I did not see the interview (just read what I could here), it does not appear that Tim is a tough, profeesioanl guy that is doing his job.
It seems to me...no documentation...just a gut feel...
SOFTBALLS TO DEMS AND HARDBALLS TO REPUBLICANS!!
Do you do your job well only half the time?...75% of the time? 90? (are you really a DR?)
