"the questions were repeats of the same topics to show Pres Bush in a bad light including the graphic that Russert tossed up that showed the Bush economy in a total bad light completely ignoring 9/11. "

No I think you are wrong. People have been saying bad stuff about the President. Russert just asked Bush his side of the story. As in..."People are saying this......What do you say? How do you answer them?" And if Bush has good answers then GREAT! As long as you have a good answers there is no reason to be afraid or angry about tough questions.

I will watch for the same tone and redundant questions when Kerry is interviewed by Russert.I expect the same reminders of "people say".He wouldn't throw softballs,I am sure.

Let's get one thing clear up front, DtD: The president is not "afraid" nor did he appear "angry" at "tough" questions.

Now, as to your characterization that "people have been saying bad stuff". David Kay has been giving interviews and testified before a Senate committee in recent days. I, with many other freepers, watched that Kay hearing live and made notes of what was said. Further, George Tenet gave an excellent speech last Thursday morning at Georgetown University. Both the Kay and the Tenet comments contained much information that was very favorable indeed to President Bush and his administration. The only thing that happened then were the dems and the willing media handmaidens plucked selectively from those comments and outright ignored the rest.

That is what I and others have stated on this thread. That if I know what Kay and Tenet have said, then so does Tim Russert. I have no problem with Russert pointing out the spin dems are giving these reports. But he went further and acted as if that spin is the total state of the record and took it from there. That is deceptive.

The president addressed the Russert questions, then after he answered quite ably, Russert asked it again. The president did well, Russert plainly had an agenda.
