Pres is asked about intelligence failure; says that intelligence is vital component of war on terror.
Intelligence services need to provide best service possible to future presidents.
Questions in Congress are good; Congress can look at intelligence gathering without giving away state secrets (is this a barb?)

Shouldn't info be available before election?
We need to give time for the investigation - it's important. Plenty of time for American people to decide if Bush made right decision, and he looks forward to the debate.
Commission set up is for long-term users of intelligence - future presidents, etc.
(I'm paraphrasing because I can't type so fast.)
Testify before commission? Bush will be glad to talk with them, tell them what he thinks.
Strongly supportive of Tenet.
