I sound like a broken record, but Kay returned with an interim report that said iraq was a dangerous placeThe reason he had to keep repeating himself on that point is that Russert refused to acknowledge that the president even pointed out that fact, much less that it is true.

That smug bas---d, Russert, has one objective, and that is to damage the president. This morning's MTP interview left me no doubt about that. Timmy's inner RAT definitely made its ugly appearance in his interview with Dubya... lost count how many times I wanted to throw the remote at the screen! >:-(

Give your girtlfriend a big kiss for that! It's heartening to hear impressions and opinions from people who are not avidly interested in politics.
By the way, what does your girlfriend think of the Dim candidates? :o)

Bush gets pounded because he was in the National Guard, Kerry gets a pass for being a leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Hard to figure. Guess the answer is just the liberal press and sycophants like Commie Timmie:

Saying his stance is the "same as Cheney's. so before they attack me..." blah blah blah. John Kerry's position on homomarriage is not the same as Dick Cheney's and Dick Cheney should put the kabash on that right quick.
John Kerry was one of 14 senators to vote against DOMA which stated quite succinctly that marriage was between a man and a woman and that other states would not be forced to recognise homosexual "marriage".
Bill McInturff says that in battleground states their polling shows that Bush leads by 4 until voters are informed of Keerys vote on DOMA at which point the lead increase to double digits.
If the economy expands and jobs are created, Kerry's liberal social views will be the tipping point.
Not to mention his votes to unilaterally freeze Americas nuclear weapons programs, his vote against Gulf War 1, his refusal to provide funds to American troops in Iraq after voting for the war and his despicable characterizations of Americas soldiers fighting in Vietnam while he was making those characterizations.
Kerry has reached his high water mark. He's going down!

Bush simply said it's politics, rather than saying that it's a disgrace that he's constantly being attacked with lies and half-truths... You want him to look like a whiner, or like a big boy who realizes there will be criticism, and can take it without cracking?

I want to believe Cheney is a plus of the Bush ticket in 2004; I want to believe he serves the President well with all his best inetentions, but there are way way too many stuff floating around him and his refusal to deal with those critics upfront has hurt the President. This is what I don't like! Cheney either needs to get out and deal with the facts or get out. He maybe the conservatives fave, but a nixonian like shadow figure in this administration will do great harm to both GW Bush and the office of the Presidency.

It'll be interesting to see the parts of this interview that are shown on Dateline tonight.

Kerry's claim to "know" George W. Bush at Yale probably means that he saw the Chief Cheerleader at the games....like he once saw an aircraft carrier.
To: Alas Babylon!
President Bush ------- all the way! George Bush, at this time, is by far our best choice for President. It would be a horrible mistake to elect such as John Kerry president -- but the misguided will try all possible.

I do not get this anti-Cheney stuff on FR
I second that. I love Cheney. Can you imagine a debate between Edwards and Cheney? My goodness Edwards couldn't handle his own MTP interview awhile back. Cheney will make him look like a lost schoolboy.
To: petercooper
Yes, I do not get this anti cheney business. The people that will vote for Bush like Cheney and are glad that he is their. I am baffled by what I sense as a growing animus toward Cheney on FR. uHeney just may be the best VP in our history.

Thanks for the validation re: Kerry and his SNAKE-LIKE tongue...I thought I might be the only one seeing it.
In this era of photo-op campaigns, where the visuals seem to be more important than what the candidate is saying, I actually think this will effect people's impression of Kerry when it starts to get noticed.
To: Phsstpok
In a manner of speaking, Yes.

You people that think Cheney is a liability are very confused. Not just confused, but very confused, eh?
You may be the one confused. Being a political liability or not is in the eye of the beholder.

Don't mistake my comments to mean I'll vote Dimocrat. I will not.
Bush will win handily in my state, he won't need my vote. He does need to heed my message for the good of America.
Long term, meaning over several generations, I rank the Bush Amnesty Plan as the most important issue before the American people. The Amnesty/Border/Illegals issues are before us now.
Willfully importing poverty into a country is never a good idea. Doing so in these days of big-government taxpayer-subsidized plans for the poor is simply ludicrous.
Factor just a few of the rest of the negatives: terrorists/security concerns, non-assimilation tendicies, $billions sent south of the border, high birth rates/big families, first allegance to various homelands, disdain for the rule of law, people believeing that a culture of bribing officials is the norm, good jobs lost for willing Americans, wages in many fields depressed - leading to needing even more 'guest workers', high taxes for me and others at the local level to pay the burgeoning cost of the 'migrants' and their extended families, health care costs, legal/criminal concerns, gang activity, the hole-card of the 'anchor babies', business willfully and illegally hiring the Illegals to save a dollar, and more -- Folks this Bush Amnesty Plan is simply madness in the long term.
I expected the President to do the right thing and address this important issue. He chose not to.

Which underscores how offensive it is for Kerry to have adopted the tone he did in his deceptive answer.
Just heard on Fox that Prince Charles made a surprise visit to troops in Iraq. Was there about 6 hours. After he departed word was given out about his trip.
