I do not know whether President Bush flew one-third of the way to the aircraft carrier.

Where is the evidence that President Bush had legal authority to fly the plane to the aircraft carrier?

Where were YOU on and around May 1, 2003?

" To me, that says that he did not honorably perform his National Guard service. Do you have another explanation?"

Aha!!! you are lying. You never saw his discharge papers did ya? They were all over in the 2000 election and just last nite. The report says "Honorable discharge". Now go try and spin that one.

Try to keep your banter dignified

Oh, dignifieid. Like YAWN.

My apologies. I promised to liberally use YAWN to dignify my posts in the future. Please do forgive the transgression.

please. The forum is not a place to play with Dad's computer.

Ah, and you finish off your very own admonishion with some dignity of your own I see.

I suppose I could make a comment or two in response about which items of your mother's that you shouldn't be playing with ... but surely you would protest that to be undignified.

Don't you just love irony? Or hypocricy? Or is it both?

Some attention has also focused on Mr. Bush's departure from the service. Under his original oath, he was obligated to serve in the Guard until May 1974. Instead, he was allowed to leave in October 1973 to attend Harvard Business School.

Former Guard officials and members of Mr. Bush's unit said that release, seven months early, was not unusual for the Guard. Mr. Bush's unit was changing airplanes at the time, from the single-seat F-102 to the dual-seat F-101. They said it made little sense to retrain him for just a few months' service, and letting him go freed spots for the Guard to recruit F-101 pilots from the Air Force and elsewhere.

Both good reasons Gore never brought up the issue since his Vietnam service is spottier. Gore got a cushy "reporter" assignment, lived in a fancy hotel, had a bodyguard, and was somehow allowed to leave his tour of duty after his father lost his Senate seat.

Now those are suspicious circumstances and some string pulling!

The info below is from Hon and Robert A Cook P.E.

1966
_________________________________________________________

Graduates from Yale.

February 18: Kerry enlists in the US Navy.

October 19: Kerry is ordered into active duty.

December 16: Kerry receives his Navy commission, a few days after his 23rd birthday.

1967
_________________________________________________________

Kerry spends the year in military training.

December: Kerry begins his first tour of duty, serving on the guided-missile frigate USS Gridley.

1968
_________________________________________________________

February: With Kerry aboard, the Gridley sails into war to patrol the coast of Vietnam. He never came into contact with the enemy during this time.

June 6: Kerry's first tour ends as the Gridley returns home.

December: Begins second tour of duty as the skipper of swift boat No. 44, patrolling the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam.

1969
_________________________________________________________

February 28: Kerry shoots and kills a Viet Cong guerilla who was threatening the lives of Kerry's crew. He received the Silver Star for his action.

April: Kerry ends his second and final tour in Vietnam.

1970
_________________________________________________________

January 3: Discharged from the Navy.

February: Kerry gives up on his first bid for office as a protest candidate in the race for the Third Congressional district.

http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/timeline.htm

Kerry's tours in VN were quite short by normal standards. His first was three months. His second three and a half months.

To abort his first tour, he volunteered for Swift boat duty: A good position at the time, because the Swift boats would give him a "command-tour" (promotion bait!) and they were serving way off-shore. After he got Swift boat duty (2nd tour) the boats were in the middle of real tough duty riverine duty.

This was the period he began complaining vigorously in meeting with Zumwalt and Abrams, and others above his chain of command, about US policy.

When he got the three minor wounds (none of which even required a day off!), and petitioned his commander to go home based on the three wounds, his CO was happy to get rid of him by approving the the US admiral's aide assignment back in Mass.

Kerry's Silver Star was for shooting a wounded VC in the back as the VC was running away from the boat during a fire fight. Few other details are released.

As far as Edwards shrinking hair goes, maybe he's afraid of getting into a contest of big hair styles with Kerry.

Americans wanna talk jobs and economy. Period.

Which is sad. I'd hope more would want to talk about keeping us from being killed by terrorist.

"Now those are suspicious circumstances and some string pulling!"

Consider this too. According to a report during the 2000 Election in US News and World Report, then Pres. Nixon had a bodyguard assigned to young Pfc. Albert Gore, Jr during his time in Vietnam because his father was a sitting U.S. Senator and he didn't want the bad publicity of a Senators son getting killed during by what that time (1972)had become an unpopular war.

In that same story in USNWR, while Gore was in Vietnam, he applied for Divinity School at Vanderbilt University, knowing full well that you would be discharged early from your enlistment if you were accepted to college.

Gore, then having been discharged after only SEVEN MONTHS of a 12 month combat tour in Vietnam, promptly flunked out of Vanderbilt due in some part to his pot smoking habits.

Now who would you rather see wearing their VFW hats and talking about National Security and Military issues?

One thing the dems do not want is anything resembling the truth to be out to the public. Much more to their advantage to continue on with their lies and misrepresentations.

Your man is not as good a man as President Bush and you can take that to the bank.

"My man"?

My good gentleman, i've no idea who you are talking about. I have no man.

My intention was to vote for GWB in the 2004 elections before the Illegal Amnesty debacle. You see, I live in Los Angeles, and I see on a daily basis the harm and danger that the non-illegal-enforcement has done to certain parts of the country ... and no doubt as a Texan, Mr. Bush has seen this himself.

Nonetheless, he lacked the courage to forgoe the possibility of the hispanic vote, and sold out his base that happens to live in territories that are, by definition, occupied.

Therefore, I have been left in the unenviable position of not having "a man" that I can really get enthusiastic for voting for at all. Maybe I will be forced to vote for GWB simply because Kerry is "worse".

I really wish that I could do something besides vote for the lessor of two evils (and that is a metaphor ... neither is truly "evil") ... but come November, I will have little choice.

I am finding less differences between the two main parties in each election cycle, and the point of voting altogether is beginning to be lost on me ... but I plod along hoping to be inspired by something, sometime.

So, please don't talk to me about "my man". I am currently without a representative candidate.

Press "1" for English.
