Bob Sellers is GOOD. I like him. He doesn't let people get away with spinning on issues.

I see you've noticed that here at FR having an opinion that may differ from the crowd can bring an onslaught of derision. I seldom post anymore myself because of this.

I think one of the big problems some people have is trying to compare the Army National Guard (NG) to the Air National Guard (ANG) and seeing the same thing. The ANG is a very important part of the USAF that does most of the Air Defense mission of the continetal United States on a day-in, day-out basis. This was true in the days of the Cold War (when Dubya flew) and is true today in the War on Terrorism.

Getting into your high-speed rocket sled of a jet, one that glides like a brick but flies like a missile (F-102/106 Delta series) and may even have nuclear weapons on board, on a daily basis is quite different than reporting to the armory Saturday morning for roll call and rifle cleaning. ANG pilots don't just do duty on weekends; they're at it round the clock, 24/7, 365 days a year. Not the same people obviously, but in each flying unit, the planes are always airborne or on standby. Always.

The thing bothering me looking back is that it was a political war.(Vietnam)

And the same group is trying to turn this one into the same!

That's a VERY good point and analogy about the Vietnam war and today's war.

Which now leads to the spin all over the media. Well, the first half of the interview wasn't that good............

President was strong in the second half.

So the plan was to be redundant for as long as possible to give the spinners their spin.

I am trained in postural analysis. Kerry is the sort of lanky tall person who has spent his life contorting his body to a world made for the average person.

He carries his shoulders forward. From the back, you can see his shoulder blades, even thru a suit jacket. One shoulder is lower and more forward than the other and he carries his head to one side to compensate (he can't help this, it is called the righting reflex). He bends forward all the time when speaking w/others (which is probably a necessity) and it emphasizes that he is thinner than he should be for his height. His chest is somewhat caved in and when he takes his jacket off, he appears wider at the waist than at the shoulders (at least on TV & a white dress shirt accentuates this effect). He carries his head forward, emphasizing the beginnings of a dowager's hump. His various body parts do not always move in unison.

W, OTOH, is square shouldered and compact. He moves easily. He seems to fill the space he is in, rather than having to accommodate himself to it. He is capable of using his entire body to get his point across w/o the viewer being aware of it.

Add in the snake tongue, the Bhramin accent and the sonorous drone, the long nose and the Dudley Do Right chin and, IMO, Kerry will put people off. He uses his height at times to look down on others. I will watch for it, but I am not aware at this time of W ever looking up to a taller person in an obvious, neck-craning manner.

W is an athlete and it shows.

I don't think our President has to spend a dime....yet!

Noitce the turnout in Michigan was much much smaller than anticipated. There is something about Kerry that neither inspires or energizes.......he's a dud and will collapse under the weight of his vicious lying demeanor.

There is no evidence that I'm aware of the Cheney or Libby knew about Wilson going over to Niger. Tenet explicitly says (as I pointed out earlier) that the president, VP, and senior WH officials were NOT briefed about that trip.

Yeah try telling a Marine Reservist he's not a "real" Marine because he's "hiding" in the Reserves. LMAO!!! He'd eat the spleen of the person who told him that for breakfast!

They are doing all they can to diminish Cheney because the very thought of any of the dems debating the Honorable Mr. Cheney is downright laughable.

I agree that this point is not good. These illegals will bankrupt the US in time. Can't they see that???????

But I still think it would be worse under a dem. Am I wrong?

I'm hoping, congress won't let it happen.
