In your professional opinion, is there justification for asserting that the Left suffers from a collective form of boderline personality disorder/narcissism?

I realize this is a difficult call even w/an individual, but I hear this dx being tossed around on all sorts of people on the Left these days and I am beginning to wonder if it is overused or if it can be justified?

I wish he hadn't done the interview.

Perhaps you don't, and perhaps not for the reasons you claim.

"Clearly didn't believe the words out of his own mouth"? So far removed from reality you must have gone with "Spirit" to Mars.

"The worst I can say is what was NOT discussed: Immigration.
*****
Which makes me think that the DNC does not want anyone to hear what President Bush might say on the issue."

Good point!

The first half hour wasn't an interview. It was a Deposition. Mr. Potato Head kept asking the same question over and over trying to get the Witness to trip up. When you are telling the truth, you don't trip up.

The second half was excellent.

Russert came off like an overzealous attorney. He looked bad. Bush looked fine. Bush is at his best when he has that calm respectful tone. It killed Ma Richards. It killed the Goron. It kills them every time.

My solution is to use the mute button. I use it on the Dem candidates all the time. Saves my sanity.

Statement by George J. Tenet
Director of Central Intelligence

11 July 2003

"There was fragmentary intelligence gathered in late 2001 and early 2002 on the allegations of Saddam's efforts to obtain additional raw uranium from Africa, beyond the 550 metric tons already in Iraq. In an effort to inquire about certain reports involving Niger, CIA's counter-proliferation experts, on their own initiative, asked an indivuidal with ties to the region to make a visit to see what he could learn." (WILSON?) He reported back to us that one of the former Nigerien officials he met stated that he was unaware of any contract being signed between Niger and rogue states for the sale of uranium during his tenure in office. THE SAME FORMER OFFICIAL also said that in June 1999 a businessman approached him and insisted that the former official meet with an Iraqi delegation to discuss "expanding commercial relations" between Iraq and Niger. The former official interpreted the overture as an attempt to discuss uranium sales. The former officials also offered details regarding Niger's processes for monitoring and transporting uranium that suggested it would be very unlikely that material could be illicitly diverted. There waws no mention in the report of forged documents -- or any suggestion of the existence of documents at all.

Interesting WHAT?

Great response until your last three words: "At this time". I don't want someone like Kerry to be my President at ANY time!

Indeed we do know what treating terrorism as legal matter got us and we also know what 3rd party voting got us in '92.

If I were you, I would be grateful for the privilege and watch what I say.

That's about the saddest thing I've seen on FR.

I was half listening to McGlothlin Group this morning. When they did predictions at the end, Tony Blankley said there is an indictment coming soon in the Plame affair. McGlothlin pressed him on a name and Blankley just smiled.

Really? Coooooool.

Fiscal sustainability should be a major concern of any conservative party and it's members. There should be serious discussion within a conservative party and among it's members about producing a budget that reduces federal spending by 50% so people can see the magnitude of the problem. All candidates for federal office representing a conservative party should have their own plan, or a plan produced by others that they endorse, to cut federal spending in half. The recent vote on tax increases in middle of the road Oregon should be ample proof citizens take a dim view of more taxes so dramatic reductions in spending are the only alternative.

Re your post #1,199 - Now, that WAS truly fascinating. And, I will bet you that most Dem posters on Dem sites would be utterly shocked to read that NY Post article about Kerry's background. But, to tell you the truth, I was not as surprised. It is something I have learned, about some Dem leaders who always want to pretend they and they alone are the champions of the "little people" -- when in fact, they are not. I guess it was a shock to me at one time, but, no more. Thanks for the ping.

I would have liked Mr. Tim Russert to ask President Bush a question about illegal immigration today during their one hour televised interview. What do you think?

Yes, I would also have liked to hear questions on health care, spending, gay marriage and many other issues of the day.

However, little Timmy was too busy playing gotcha with WMDs and phony AWOL charges to address other issues.

I saw that show yesterday. That lady (not the one from the Christian Science Monitor) is a mouthpiece for the DNC and she's getting on my nerves.

Tony Blankely got ticked off and put them all (including Buchanan) in their place.
