I had to double-check the date on this. I could swear I read the identical article last Summer, the first time Kerry was considered a possible front runner. Same shrugging, what's-the-big-deal? smoochy piece. I didn't buy it then, either.

Call us old fashioned, but we really prefer first ladies who don't say "shit" to journalists in formal interviews.

Not only the swearing, but also the way she tenses up and pulls away when he touches her.

It bothers me to see that. I don't like Kerry, but even he deserves a wife that doesn't treat her husband like that.

She visibly tenses and once she literally shrugged him off of her when he put his hands on her shoulders. Then she sort of grimaced and shrugged again. Then went further and brushed her shoulder like he left some sort of "cootie" on her. (Sorry, I spend lots of time around little kids!)

Does this bother anyone else?
