Not fair. Posted while I was typing. ;-)
But it doesn't change the substance of what I'm saying. Your constant grouping of conservatives generally with a group that got a tiny fraction of the vote, less than 1%, in 2000 is just plain wrong.
You allow your bitterness against those you judge threw the election to Clinton in '92 color your thinking to the point that it leads you into error.
And Perot wasn't even a conservative.
Sure, some small portion, very small, of conservatives voted for him, but part of the reason for that is the way they were treated by the GOP leadership, mainly moderate to liberal leadership (which has of course been my point.)
But most of them were just Joe-Sixpacks who bought into his pseudo-populist Larry King Schtick.
Man, you can't fool me. I have been dealing with the 'moderates' for years, and I have seen this attitude we are discussing tonight out there over and over and over again.
To some of y'all, we conservatives are nothing more than red-headed stepchildren.
