Near this spot
Are deposited the Remains of one
Who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,

And died at Newstead Abbey, Nov. 18, 1808."

Thank you so much for that. In the midst of this turmoil and hostility it was a beautiful island of tenderness and real love. JackRyanCIA has talked about how animals don't have lying or deceipt in them. And it's true. Humans are a higher kingdom, I believe. But with animals it's so easy to see their innocence and goodness. And dogs. Dogs give. Dogs give you a positive energy and a wonderful companionship and trust.
