Animal activists demand law against animal sex

The Swedish veterinary organization claims that several hundred pets are raped in Sweden every year. Now there is a demand for a law making sex with animals illegal.

To rape an animal is not illegal in Sweden and the sexual assaults are becoming more and more common, stated Johan Beck-Friis at Sveriges Veterinärförbund (the Swedish veterinary organization), quoted Swedish paper Aftonbladet.

"The perpetrators are often just ordinary people with a family and children," Beck-Friis explained. "Pets are most vulnerable. Dogs, and even cats, but also other animals like horses, cows and sheep."

He now demands that Sweden makes animal sex illegal, and he is not alone. The paper reported that along with the Sveriges Veterinärförbund, Lantbrukarnas riksförbund (Farmers' national organization), the Swedish Kennel Club Organization, Djurskyddet i Sverige (The Swedish animal protection organization) and Animal Rights Sweden want a law change.

According to Beck-Friis, the reason why the issue surface right now is because the number of assaults is increasing.

"It appears as if the assaults are becoming more common," Beck-Friis said. "We have noticed an increase ever since child pornography became illegal in 1996."

Sex with animals was decriminalized in 1944 when homosexual sex no longer became punishable by law.

The sexual assaults of animals have been received a lot of reactions lately, among others in the Swedish radio program Front a couple a weeks ago. A man called in to the program and defended animal sex.

"I have sex with horses and dogs too. It is not as complicated as having sex with people," the man stated.

The problem has even been discussed in the Swedish government. Gustav Fridolin, member of the Swedish environmental party, presented a motion to make animal sex illegal last year, but only six persons voted in favour of the bill.

"They are afraid of dictating sexual preferences," Beck-Friis said. "We firstly want a law against sexual assaults. When animals are hurt, we must react."

By 2040, Massachusetts will allow marriage between men and horses, dogs and cats. By 2060, Massachusetts will allow marriage between men and rock formations. And by 2080, Massachusetts will allow marriage between men, and 6 ft tall bunnies (the Harvey scenario). Everyone will be married at least 10 to 12 times in their life...to women, to dogs, to rocks, to the planet Mars, and possibly even to previously dead people (Marilyn Monroe comes to mind). Life will be a simpler thing in Massachusetts. Eventually, they may even allow you to have multiple marriage partners....like 3 women, 2 butterflys, and a car. The key here for the state....is to have a marriage tax that will help generate revenue for the state, and to enjoy the sales tax from the various marriage parties that will become popular.

- The animal won't compare you with other animals to the other animals.

And now you can know for sure!

"No, one would think such a law would be totally unnecessary."

Point taken. But that doesn't seem to be the case in Sweden.

I have a story to relate when I was a new director for a Monterey Bay Area Radio station. This story never aired, but evidently Watsonville Police did a check on a guy just sitting in his car at the end of a road. Lo and Behold, when they reached the vehicle they found a hispanic gentleman with his pants around his ankles and a previously live turkey slumped over in the passenger side. When asked why his pants were off, the man replied that he was "just relaxing" The turkey was taken for testing and found that it had been a victim of ahhh sexual assualt. THe suspect was then booked into the local jail for violation of a turkey.

I don't get it. If you're just avoiding complication, why not just use an inanimate object? Or "do it yourself"?

No, one would think such a law would be totally unnecessary.

I was going to say that. But since it has already been said I think I'll go to bed now and stare at the ceiling for awhile. Hopefully I will fall asleep with nothing but a blank white space in my mind.

"I have sex with horses and dogs too. It is not as complicated as having sex with people."

This is ripe for comment but I would find myself in trouble on this forum for doing so.

Sorry your teeth hurt! Mark got his teeth fixed right off the bat, even before he was rated.

He went to the VA. I'm going by memory here, and it might not be right today.

First of all, he was seen by a dentist (who was a VN vet himself) and they may have helped.

Even so -- if any real VN vet seeks help for ANY physical help -- and doesn't receive it, whether PTSD related or not...

I think they should contact their VSO (veteran's service officer). Every county in every state has one, I think.

I've said this many times; if you can't find yours, let me know. I'll find it for you - just need to know the state and city/county or township where you live. Private email is fine.

This is sick...should it even be on FR?

Yes, it should be on FR and everyone should take notice.

What makes you think that this won't happen in America in ten years time?

If you would have told me 20 years ago that homosexuals in the United States were trying to have their perversions accepted as normal and trying to get married I would have said you were crazy.

Thanks. I've got a private dentist though - he's just out of town till Monday and the guy seeing his patients is a fumble-fingered twit. I can hold out.

The Swedish veterinary organization claims that several hundred pets are raped in Sweden every year.

Does this mean it's OK if it's consensual between the man and the beast? I would imagine a rape charge would be most difficult to prove, if not impossible.

Hey, at least the Swedes had the sense (finally) to make kiddy-porn illegal...some see the glass half empty, some half-full...

Howevever, less we poke to much fun at the Swedes, there's more than enough sleeze going on here in the U.S.ofA. to give Sodom & Gomorrah a run for their money...at least they never thought of letting two men or two woman get married, unlike some in our own nation.

I give our nation twenty, thirty years at the most before God sends a giant asteroid to blot us all out, less we change our ways...and quickly...

Some amimals prefer straight sex, although an occasional "alternative lifestyle" with other species.

But nobody's posted the story yet about the three St. John's college basketball players, who went to a strip club in Pittsburgh, then hired a 38-year-old hooker, brought her back to the hotel, had sex with her (with several flunkies watching), and then reneged on the $600 fee and offered her $6! Then, she went to the police and claimed that they raped her, but she was snared because the players had taped the whole event on their camera phone. And no, I am not making any of this up: http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/161936p-141962c.html
