They leave if they can..My husband is from Zimbabwe, thankfully his father is South African, so his family was able to emigrate there in the 1980's, but his mother's side of the family isn't so lucky..The ones who didn't leave in the 1980's now can't go anywhere, nobody will take them. They are elderly farmers whose assets have been stolen. My husband has young cousins who were born in Zimbawee but thankfully grew up in Botswana, but still have Zim passports, they both are trying to emigrate (Australia, England anywhere)but it's really difficult right now. My husband has been in this country for 10 years, has a ph.d in Chemical Engineering, and still is waiting for his green card (he has to keep paying to renew his work visa), if he was a Black African he'd have his citizenship and be voting by now. Anyway, I wish they could all leave, it's just where can they go??

It was Saudi Arabia. He was a good Muslim (sarc off).

He died just a few months ago. His body was returned to Uganda where it was buried.

I just remember hearing the 60's hippies talk about how cool Rhodesia was. I was quite young and don't remember much other than it was a much admired nation. Shows you how smart 60's hippies were.
