And that was in a game against Canada on Thursday before just 1,500 people.

A game Tuesday in neighboring Guadalajara will determine whether the U.S. under-23 soccer team heads to the Athens Games.

"This is what it is all about," coach Glenn Myernick said. "You are 90 minutes away from being in the Olympics."

And since you judge a whole people by their soccer fans, I guess the English are the scum of the world according to your logic.

Yep, Sure are...but then I am a clymer like that.

THERE ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!!!! Someone responded to you, and it only took you saying the same thing 450,000,000 times!

When 3000 of my fellow countrymen die because of Osama, which is what these soccer fans were chanting, it tends to get me a little upset. That is what this post was about, not racism so get a clue!!

These inhabitants of socialist bung-hole countries absolutely hate us (U.S.). We have everything these dirt poor peasants want; the best standard of living in the world, the best retirement atmosphere, nearly the best longevity, the most abundant food supplies and recreation. Best of all, we don't really retaliate against insults. You have to blow up national edifices to elicit a haphazard squeek from us, then we apologise and rebuild whichever country we attack.

Heck, insult us, kill our tourists, steal from us, and we open our borders, pay them well for their labor and lavish them with welfare benefits and Social Security. Respect? Gratefulness? Don't be silly...

"And since you judge a whole people by their soccer fans, I guess the English are the scum of the world according to your logic."

Listen Dane, I happen to be hispanic (Mexican). I can see the facts. My relatives came here legally and have done things the legal way. I despise what these people did, I despise what the illegals are doing and how they are getting away with it. My family also feels this way, because they went the legal route to become citizens. I am not judging all Mexicans as this way, I do know that there are many that good, honest people. I judge a people by their person, not the group.

Sorry I did not put the ? in stead of the . at the end of "And yet the administration wants to be nice to them". It was meant to ask a question in response to a statement.

It seems you are the one to judge a person without knowing them.

IMO, there was one reason and one reason only that this thread was posted.

To whip up anti-Mexican sentiment all because of some crazy soccer fans and to some on FR these people represent the Mexican people.

I am glad this thread was posted, so that the hyperbolic irrational logic of the Mexican haters on FR is shown in the sunlight.

Thank you also for stating that a countries soccer fans don't represent all the people.

Our own National team won't play against any Mexican or Central American team in California after this -

"During a game between the US and Mexico February 15, 1998, the US soccer team was not only booed and jeered throughout the entire game by Mexican fans, but were continually pelted with water, beer and in some cases solid objects like fruit from the over 60,000 fans in attendance."

Friggin' disgusting.

On a lighter note, Manchester United ( a bunch of white boys for the most part) clobbered a Mexican side at the Coloseum in LA this past Summer. I was there. The majority of the 60,000 people in attendance were Mexican and we're humiliated by the Red Devils from Manchester. A good day indeed.

Yes, the Mexicans did win that battle, but the fallout from it led to them getting their butts whooped and the loss of all of Texas.

If they keep shouting "Osama" at games then they are just asking to get their butts whooped for the next decade.

Maybe a shout of "Annex Mexico" would have been better.

Nah the people on FR who base their judgements of Mexicans on some soccer fans are trying for that honor, IMO.

We would have no problem on our southern border if we enforced the same immigration policy as Mexico has for Guatemala.

Not granting amnesty for illegals equals racism. You need to take a deep breath, calm down and quit spending so much time over at DU.

Remember when the top row of an entire section of the stadium in Columbia committed suicide by jumping over the wall b/c they lost. Then, there was a goalie who lost a World Cup match and he was shot like a dozen times. Nuts.

Huh? Anyway I am not for amnesty either, but for a temporary worker program(so is Tancredo).

This thread is great for it shows the almost orgasmic animus some on FR have towards Mexicans and try to smear all with the actions of a few crazy soccer fans.

BTW, are all Bostonians violent and low class, because of the riots that happened after the Superbowl.

Sounds like an Oakland Raiders game, or perhaps the Dog Pound at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium.

At least the Mexicans know who the home team is.

But yet we are inviting them in in droves and rolling out the red carpet to these malefactors. Yeah, like they really care about America! Well, in a way I guess they do....America is a meal ticket. Nothing more.
