We have rules. They were ratified in the Year of our Lord 1787, PCJ. They say that we have the right to form our own government and empower it. It makes sense for any entity to own what it needs to have full authority over in order to function, nations included. The way a nation owns something is through its government. It's really simple.

Just keep in mind that form of government was a republic within a democracy and not the twisted socialist democracy that would have now.
