Maybe you should re-read the post. I've backed conservatives who were stabbed in the back by RINOs. If you don't like the fact that I have no sympathy for back-stabbers.

The onyl thign that grates on you is that I don't cut backstabbers of YOUR persuasion any slack. How dare I have the gall to not have a dobule standard? How DARE I disagree with the self-appoitned arbiters of what is and what is not a conservative position?

Go ahead, take your best shot.

I already have.

I hold no love for Wahnah. You have offered no alternative.

hchutch, you're all about cutting yourself a double-standard when you explain over and over again how it's OK for you not to vote for Warner when he's the nominee, but if anyone else fails to vote for a GOP nominee for whatever reason suits them, they're indirectly voting for a Democrat.

If you hold that the only valid reason to withhold your vote for a nominee is betrayal of the party, then the party itself has become your supreme political value. Fine, we're both in the same party, so I don't care why you usually vote Republican. The value of your vote is not determined by the values that motivate it.

However, other voters may have different supreme political values. Their line in the sand might not be your line in the sand.

So, accept that, and do what you can to hold the coalition together.

I submit, however, that badgering, silly flames about posters' screen names, and random melodramatics are probably not going to get it done.
