Nothing works for me, so far. I love to drink, although I see many reasons to stop. All I can ask is that the desire be taken away. Nothing seems to work.
Don' t get me wrong; I'm not out of control, as I keep a family and a job. It's just that things could be better. Or could they?

Things can always be better! I will admit I did a lot of praying at that time, but it wasn't about that specific problem, it was a more generalized prayer of desperation about everything.
There is a reason for pain in the world, it is a great teacher. Most of us will stagnate were it not for pain of some kind of another. Even just mental pain is often a spur that pushes us in a better direction.
On another note - acupuncture can do a lot of things. I have had it for years here and there, and it has helped where regular medicine could not. If you actually want to change your drinking habits, you might be able to find a competent acupuncturist who might be of assistance. I know they can help with smoking, and that is a hard habit to break. (used to do that, too!)
