no...an alcoholic is an alcoholic. An alcoholic who doesn't drink is a sober alcoholic. An alcoholic doesn't wake up the next day and say.." I think I won't be an alcoholic today."

A homosexual is a homosexual. A homosexual who doesn't engage in homosexual acts is a celibate homosexual not a heterosexual.

A homosexual doesn't become a heterosexual any more than you can wake up tomorrow and say " I think I will be a homosexual today" ( this is assumes you are a heterosexual of course.)

I certainly couldn't imagine switching teams but I don't know if one is defined by his behavior or his beliefs which may not be known. If a former homosexual wakes up one day and finds that he no longer finds men sexually attractive, stops going to Broadway shows and sells his meticulously renovated Victorian B&B to take a wife and raise a family...he might not be a homosexual.

If I quit smoking am I still a smoker? I don't think so.

Maybe the guy is Bisexual, an active heterosexual, latent homosexual, bi sexual. The whole always alcoholic, recovering alcoholic thing is just semantics to remind the ex alcoholic that he is more susceptible to alcoholism than an average citizen. So stop the stupid argument.

Funny how when someone gives up his former heterosexual life and proclaims himself to now be homosexual, the homosexual community celebrates and declares that this person has finally found himself and is no longer in denial...but if a homosexual gives up the lifestyle and declares that he is now heterosexual, the homosexual community despairs and declares that this individual has lost his way is now denying his true self. They seem to be decidedly one-sided on the subject of changing lifestyle.

You state:

A homosexual is a homosexual. A homosexual who doesn't engage in homosexual acts is a celibate homosexual not a heterosexual.

Please back that up with facts. Since there are many studies showing that people do indeed change, such as the article here, please put up links or articles proving your point.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not entitled to be right.
