I've a vague prediction -- not that such a thing is difficult to make. No matter what the real sales of Janet's next CD are, she'll go gold the first week, platinum by the end of the month.

EMI will have too much fun exploiting this for their own needs.

Good point. On a similar subject, like I was saying in another thread, Britney has been in the news constantly for the past six months. Yet she's only sold 2 million copies of her album, which would be a lot for an unknown, but not for somebody whose record company spent millions on promoting this dreck, and not for somebody like her who sold 17 million copies of her first album.

Alicia Keyes and Josh Groban are two of the artists who are outselling Britney, and they didn't even have to take off any clothes to do it!
