Albanian police have seized a large quantity of arms and ammunition in a village near the border with neighboring Montenegro, the Interior Ministry said yesterday. The arms and ammunition, including some 300 kilos (660 lbs) of explosive, were seized in the village of Grud Fushe, only several miles from the border with Serbia-Montenegro late Monday, the ministry said. The owner of the house where the ammunition was found, Sokol Preci, 47, was arrested, as well as his brother Vitor and a policeman suspected of being an accomplice in arms and drugs trafficking. Sokol and Vitor must have been late with their payments to the local constabulary.

New Albanian paramilitary group in Montenegro?: A previously unknown group calling itself the Montenegrin National Army has warned that “experimenting with the fate of Albanians in Montenegro” would lead to “actions aimed against essential Montenegrin buildings and interests”.

They have the goods to back up their threats, if indeed these arms and explosives were stashed there to be used in Montenegro.

Underneath, it's probably the KLA up to no good - or somehow involved at the periphery - as usual.
