Not quite as cool as the Batmobile, but....
They should let Jesse James and the Monster Garage have a go at making cool.

G-8 organizers on Monday unveiled the electric car which resembles a golf cart the size of a Volkswagen Beetle customized for President Bush (news - web sites) to cruise around Sea Island during the June 8-10 meeting of world leaders. What is this crap? Give all the other G-8 weenies their golf carts and give Bush a Viper.

...that would be a GEMcar, American made. i've got one myself for tooling about town (Austin) which makes the tree-huggers drool whenever i pull up to the front of whole foods or central market. actually, it IS a good, reliable mode of transportation, but isn't comfortable in the rain or cold (no doors)...

Doesn't seem safe to me. An open sided vehicle that has a top speed of 25mph? Better hope they don't have a parade route through Dealy Red Square.
