The only people who will suffer from this approach are the more conservative professors who introduce "controversial" topics like a discussion in a taxation policy class over whether the "rich" pay too much tax; a discussion in a sociology class over whether there really are differences between men and women; a discussion in political science class over the justice of liberating Iraq and Afghanistan, and so on. Conservative students rarely complain and usually filter out the garbage. Liberal students always complain when they aren't getting 100% drivel, 100% of the time.

Boy, you've got that right!

Those few of us in academics who feel free to preach free enterprise, God, and country will have absolutely no cover whatsoever when some lobotomized Educrat takes the ax to academic freedom.

I guess I'll go back into industry, after all. The paperwork, lack of common sense, and stupid proposals by misguided people are not worth the cut in pay, benefits, and prestige that university teaching requires these days.
