United for one word E.L.E.C.T.A.B.I.L.I.T.Y.
Dean was about ideals.
Clarks was about the clintons.
Kerry is just about not dying off as a political party.
Kerry is a plea to the rank and file to not kill off the party.

The DemocRATs may think that Kerry is electable, but:
1)Kerry was the Lt. Governor under Michael Dukakis
2)Kerry is the junior Senator for Massachusetts, and has almost the same voting record as the senior Senator, Edward Kennedy
3)Kerry marched in antiwar protests with Jane Fonda
4)Kerry's wife is worth over a half-billion dollars, so that causes all kinds of problems for the usual class warfare arguments
In reality, Kerry only looks electable because he is seen with Dean, Lieberman, Sharpton, Clark and Mosely-Braun. When he has to stand next to Bush, he will lose big time.

Dean was about ideals. Dean sure got a taste of what the Democrat Machine thinks about grass roots populism.
As far as the DNC was concerned it was "anybody but Dean".

Dean was about ideals. Remind me again, exactly what were those ideals?
