Because when I'm done speaking on the subject, there's simply nothing left to say?? {{cough}}
Meanwhile, thank you for that vivid picture of what was going on in the efforts to resuscitate Terri at the apartment and in the ER. It certainly gives a better understanding than that pathetic little one-page police report that saw nothing.
Give me a guess on something. Let's say the spinal damage was from Michael's knee in her back. That would probably leave some pretty significant bruising? If so, when would the bruises become plainly visible? Would the ER people flip her over and inspect? And if so, might they attribute the bruises to her handling by the EMS?

Depends on her platelet count, and how easy she bruises. Any bruising may not have showed up right away. Then she was vented and on her back fighting to stay alive. Any bruising on the posterior could be missed easily.
They wouldn't necessarily think/check for abuse until they stabilized her, unless we had an astute doc attuned to abuse or familiar with that issue. I'm guessing they went with the low K+ and cardiac involvement. They probably figured she wouldn't make it anyway. There is no way a broken back would come from EMS. If they had dropped her off the cart down 2 flights of stairs, maybe.
