A dozen computers taken from Michael Jackson's ranch: court papers
LOS ANGELES (AFP) - The investigators who raided Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch in November took with them a dozen computers, legal documents, video tapes, a digital camera and a Christmas card invitation, according to court papers released.
The court documents offered no further details on the items taken from the pop singer's house on November 18, and most of them were returned to his attorneys.
Several news organizations had asked the Santa Barbara, California, Superior Court to release copies of the police search warrant and details of the items taken in the raid.
Judge Rodney Melville said last month that details on items could be omitted. Only attorneys involved in the case would have access to all the documents, he said.
Police took from Jackson's master bedroom a laptop computer found in a closet, legal documents and a digital camera. The Christmas invitation was in a night table.
Documents were also taken from his study.
The 45-year-old "King of Pop," who has three children, pleaded not guilty last month to seven counts of performing lewd and lascivious acts on a 14-year-old boy, who reportedly has cancer. He is also charged with plying the child with alcohol.
He faces more than 20 years in jail if convicted.
In addition to the ranch, police in November had raided the homes of a producer and a detective in Los Angeles.
The house of another Jackson collaborator, March Schaffel, was searched for an hour on Saturday. Schaffel produced the song "What More Can I Give."
Police declined to release any details on this latest search.
