Do you have trouble distinguishing between metaphors and falsehoods? How about parables? Are they literally true?Parables are, by definition, not literal. They are used to illustrate a concept for the benefit of man's understanding.
For the umpteenth time........when something is not to be interpreted literally, the inspired writer makes it very clear.

There is nothing in the text to indicate that this question is a metaphor. So, in your opinion, God didn't really know where Adam was ?
