However, I did go to the iFilms website, which has all of the commercials from the Super Bowl braodcast. From that, I compiled a list of all of the advertisers and sent each one an email detailling how "shocked, simply shocked" I was about the AOL Halftime show and how I was gonna not use their products or services and specifically named the closest competitor and their specific products instead until they publicly applied pressure to Viacom and CBS to come clean.
For instance, the Anhueser Busch note stated that I would only drink Miller and Coors products from now on. For AOL, I told them I would be signing up with Netzero (Earthlink is their other big competitor), and so on. It was fun doing the research and I sit in eager anticipation for their replies. I encourage everyone to try this, whether you intend to follow through or not. It makes the advertiser think hard about their advertising budget expenditures and that is where CBS makes its dough.
Those AOL disks had the United States Postal Service Logo on them, new to me perhaps others have seen them.
Ten years ago, after buying my first PC, AOL was my first ISP. It did not take long to see their liberal slant in how their system operated.
To find the Fishing, Hunting or Guns forums was difficult. To find Gay, Lesbian or Liberal Media very easy.
AOL like many others, knew SEX SELLS. It sounds like they are still using that same premise today, but they have moved it up town into the local post office and the Super Bowl.
