If you can't see the difference between the eight years of Clinton and the last four years of Bush, I won't try explaining it to you. In my opinion, there is a big, big difference. The executive branch holds enormous power. Who will nominate the next Supreme Court Justice? Do you really want it to be Kerry???

.....by telling middle-class American suckers that he would give them a "middle-class tax cut", which would be provided by increasing taxes on the rich making $200,000 a year......

An individual or a married couple who earns $200,000 during a particulat tax year and then pays income taxes on that income is not necessarily "rich".

On the other hand, if a guy that marries the widow of another man that left her $550 million and neither he nor the widow ever paid a single penny of inome tax on that windfall......now that's "Rich"!

The next time John Kerry calls a $200,000 a year income earner "rich", I wish someone would ask him how much taxes he has paid on the $550 million he married.

What good does it do to have Bush in office if he can't push through his nominees? He should be making recess appointments of whomever he darned well pleases (hey, it worked for Clinton) and when the 'Rats howl, he should tell them, "Tought nuts, you wouldn't give any of my nominees a hearing, so here's what you get." Instead, Bush appears to be trying to appease the Left, which is just what we don't need.

I tend to agree with you .. but the fact Kerry is polling above Bush is not a surprise. The WH had already made that statement re the possibility that Bush would poll behind some of the democrats months ago.

Also .. I believe several Presidents who WON THEIR ELECTION were pollling behind their opponent at some point. The race isn't over. The horses are barely out of the barn and down the first furlong .. and everybody's already trying to decide who the winner is. The race isn't over .. not by a long shot!!

This is very, very poor thinking. If Kerry gets in because you vote for some nobody named Tom whatever, and if Kerry CAN push through HIS nominees then we are totally screwed.
